O Blessed Virgin Mary,
under your most loving and revered title, Our Lady of Good Voyage,
we come before you with grateful and humble hearts,
seeking your maternal guidance, your intercession,
and your divine protection as we embark on life’s many paths.
You, who once journeyed in faith to Bethlehem,
into exile in Egypt, and up the sorrowful road to Calvary,
know well the fears and uncertainties we carry with us—
and you remain close to all who walk, fly, sail, or struggle
through unfamiliar places, unfamiliar seasons, and unfamiliar pains.
Our Lady of Safe Passage,
you have long been the anchor of safety for sailors tossed upon raging seas,
the bright star that guided fishermen back to the shores of their families,
and the heavenly hand over caravans, pilgrims, and wanderers.
As you watched over seafarers in Portugal,
and protected generations of travelers in every corner of the world,
so now we place our trust in your unfailing care.
Be with us, O Mary,
as we begin each journey—no matter how near or far,
no matter whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.
Guard our vehicles, calm our anxieties,
and keep our eyes fixed not just on our destination,
but on the grace of the present moment.
Wrap your mantle around those who travel for love, for duty, for necessity.
Bless those far from home—soldiers, seafarers, aid workers, and immigrants—
that they may find strength and peace in your presence.
Walk beside those who flee from danger or despair,
that they may be guided to safety and dignity.
Watch over the innocent children on their journeys,
the elderly as they step into new phases of life,
and those traveling alone, that they may never feel abandoned.
O Lady of Good Voyage,
be a lighthouse in our fog,
a compass in our confusion,
a comfort in our weariness.
Turn our hearts toward Christ,
the true path, the final destination, the eternal peace we seek.
And when our voyage leads us into storms—
whether external or those raging within—
intercede for us with gentle power.
Calm our worries, still our hearts, and speak peace into our souls.
Protect our families waiting at home.
Let their prayers rise to Heaven on our behalf.
Keep them comforted and hopeful until we return.
And for those whose journeys are not measured by miles
but by milestones of faith, grief, healing, or change—
walk closely with them, dear Mother, each step of the way.
Finally, O Loving Queen of Heaven,
we entrust to your care all who are on life’s final journey.
Accompany the dying with tenderness and peace,
and lead them gently into the arms of your Son,
where all journeys end in eternal joy.
O Mary, Our Lady of Good Voyage,
we place our journeys—past, present, and future—into your hands.
Be with us always, as you have been with so many before us.
Help us to move not only with purpose, but with faith.
And may every road, no matter how winding,
lead us ever closer to your Immaculate Heart
and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our truest home.
