What is Third Eye Chakra?
The Ajna chakra, also commonly known as the third-eye chakra, is the sixth chakra in the traditional Hindu method of seven chakras. It is located in the center of one's forehead, between the eyebrows, and is related to intuition, insight, and inner vision. This chakra is said to control the pituitary gland and the nervous system and is linked to indigo's hue.
When the third-eye chakra is in equilibrium, a person may have a keen intuition and be able to rely on their inner intuition. They can have a profound appreciation of the interdependence of everything and have the ability to look beyond the physical realm. They could have a powerful sense of inner awareness and be able to make decisions quickly. Furthermore, they may also have a good memory, sharp concentration and vivid imagination.
